Lulu Liu fall/winter 2012

Lulu Liu is a Chinese-British designer based in London. Recently graduated, just got her diploma in 2011 at the London College of Fashion, Lulu is focused almost immediately on her womenswear luxury brand. The main source of inspiration for the fall/winter 2012-13 are landscapes painted by Dali, as evidenced by the expressionist patterns on most of the garments, and clowns, their costumes and in particular the typical shape of the collar. A collection which doesn’t lack of color, one of the key points together with the shapes: Lulu is able to combine artistic inspiration to sculptural pieces, creating real works of wearable art. The fur details, also found unexpectedly on shoes, give an extra touch of originality.
