When your last name is Love (and your name is not Courtney) your creations must only refer to a romantic and ultra-feminine imaginary. Kelly Love is an Australian designer. The brand that bears her name was founded after a course of study and work that led her to move from Sydney to Japan, to London, where she currently lives and works. The images evoked by the spring/summer collection “Pocket Full O ‘Posies” takes us back in time, to a childhood made of vacations in the countryside, outdoor games and nursery rhymes sung in sunny afternoons. Her pieces were inspired by femininity of the past, vintage lingerie and cocktail dresses from the 30′s, reported to modernity and played down by the use of rather particular shoes, like creepers. Focal point of the production of Kelly are the materials, the use of exclusive prints on high quality fabrics.
