Ioana Ciolacu fall/winter 2012

Minimalism doesn’t always mean simplicity. Ioana Ciolacu is a young designer based in Bucharest, Romania, and graduated in 2011 with already three collections and a capsule to her credit. The essential style of the garments is designed to highlight the meticulous tailoring work, the shape of the garments, the processing of the tissue, the overlap of the layers and the wise cuts and seams with which every piece is assembled. My favourites are the long dress with black detail on the neck, the dyed maxi skirt and gray peplum mini dress.
