One of the awesome works of British graphic designer Chatty Nora. Quotes taken from the books of the writer Dr Seuss, which are entirely transcribed by hand by the designer, with incredible precision and skill.

I commented on the artist's facebook page, and she responded "some of the pieces are drawn using a converted x/y plotter and others are a mixture of both plotter and freehand. Thanks for asking :) " so we were both right :)

Fair enough… it just seems odd that the prices are so low. Drawing those by hand would take hours.

Well, you're right, but if you read the comments by the Etsy buyers you'll see they're actually handmade… The artist is probably understimating her works ;)

I don't see anywhere that these wares are done by hand…I see it says they're not 'printed', and yes they're impressive typography works, but I beg to offer that they're created with a plotter pen, or else the artist would be charging far more than £8.00 – 10.00 GBP each.

      Hi Quentin,
well, it's true that the artist doesn't say these posters are handmade, but it's also true that she says: "Please note: this is NOT printed, they are drawn with pen. With this in mind no two will ever be quite the same!". She describes in details the paper she uses, but she just says she's using a coloured pen, which to me sounds like it's hand drawn. She doesn't speak of any plotter … This is the way I interpreted it.
