If I had to pick one massive trend that is lasting quite a long time when it comes to storage furniture, I’d definitely say asymmetry. Off-kilter, geometric, odd shaped pieces are adding a bit of playfulness to this product category, going way beyond functionality. This sideboard buffet by Mark Bendow is a great example. According to the designer, the shape was inspired by the essence of teamwork, as the parts have to “rely” on each other in order to not fall. Poetic!
