False Impressions by Emma Hardstaff

We present “False Impressions”, the fall/winter 2013 collection by Emma Hardstaff, presented as graduate project. Exaggerated volumes, sculptural shapes that seem to hover from clouds of pastel fabrics, hats that seem to consist of cotton candy, cuts and crimps that create asymmetric patterns and unexpected details. A collection that makes of surprise its main feature, with prints that take us back to a magical and dreamy imaginary, and the matelassée fabric reminiscent of the warm and cozy duvets where we wrap in cold winter nights.
