Who doesn’t love two designers that in their brand’s bio say: “we believe that fashion should never be taken too seriously”? Agape Mdumulla and Sam Cotton are working together since years with “Agi and Sam”, their men’s clothing brand, non-trivial and that really doesn’t take itself too seriously. The fall/winter 2012 collection completely revolutionizes the classical idea of male suit, revisiting it in both shape, taking it closer to the female wardrobe (“egg-shaped” coats, short-sleeved jackets paired with bermuda, shirts peeking out from jackets), and in the completely free use of color, which is expressed through abstract prints, multicolor plaid stolen from flannel shirts and bold accents of orange and electric blue. Only one thing leaves me puzzled: why are models, despite wearing such extravagant outfits, all looking so serious?
