Rob eyeglass stand

The London based design student Jemil Saka created “Rob”, a light-hearted eyeglass stand, inspired by an old teacher of his, hand finished and in limited edition. A simple wooden display to lay the glasses on, decorated with a funny mustache that characterizes it, giving it the shape of a stylized face. Even the cardboard pyramid-shaped packaging was designed to become an additional stand, to encourage the reuse of packing elements.

Hi Carrie-Ann,
evrybody can appreciate or not, but I don't think the designer had those in mind when he created Rob, even if the result is vaguely similar, those you linked seem more like works of art, whilest Rob is a piece of minimalist design. Everybody can image an object resembling a face, it's the final result that distinguish it…
