In the blue painted by Blu

People call him Blu but don’t know his real name. He lives in Bologna, where he started doing illegal graffiti in the historic center and the periphery in 1999 with classic sprays. His technique changes in the years, he begins using rollers that allow him to enlarge the surface of his works. His humanoid subjects reveal dark and distressing sceneries.
Further on he starts with digital animation, which become the most popular and innovative work: thanks to a great harmony between music and images he is able to tell fascinating stories that captures the audience’s eye keeping it stuck waiting for the final. He collaborates with onother artist, called Ericailcane, for the cration of many murals. From 2004 art galleries are aware of its value and begin to ask him to take part in solo and group exhibitions, but Blu prefers other settings for his artistic career. He realizes some works around the world, but Italy is the place that boasts the largest number of his works.
